By Air

There is no airport in Kashmir. However, there is one in Srinagar which is well connected to Delhi and other major Indian cities. On reaching the Srinagar airport, you can easily take a bus or a taxi to Kashmir.

By Train:

Various trains are available that you can use to reach kashmir, like Jammu Mail and New Delhi-Jammu Tawi Rajdhani Express. Note that the nearest train station to Kashmir is Jammu Tawi Railway Station, it is 330 km away from the Kashmir valley.

By road – Bus & Taxi service

There are numerous bus routes that can be used to reach Kashmir, but taxis are quite popular way of commuting among the tourists because of the comfort and the fact that it gives you the freedom to decide your own route.

March to May is  the best time to visit Kashmir. If you plan your visit in these months, it is possible that you will be able to catch it in its full bloom before the winters set in. Since there is no snow in these months, you will be able to trek and explore as much as you like. Rafting, horse riding and golf are really popular and the best time to enjoy them in Kashmir is from April to November.

If snowy Kashmir is what you want to experience, visit between the months of December and early March, and brace yourself for sub-zero temperatures. It is also the time to enjoy various activities like snowboarding & skiing.
